a Way of Life at The Moorings

The
Moorings is built behind a meandering eight mile
seawall along the banks of the Indian River. The
scenic Moorings yacht basin serves as a natural
harbor. Yachtsmen and boaters have easy access
to the Intracoastal Waterway through the deep
Moorings entrance channel, located at Channel
Marker 100.
Each
riverfront homesite has seawalled moorings, and
riverfront condominiums feature private docking.
An additional 52 docking slips are provided at
Spyglass Harbour,
the closest deep water harbour to Ft. Pierce Inlet
in Indian River County.

The
Fort Pierce inlet is approximately nine miles
south, and is a commercial port recognized for
its deep channel and safe access to the ocean.
The northernmost tip of the Bahamas is only 100
miles due east of the Fort Pierce inlet.
